Embracing the Conversation Through Food and Literature.

Feasting on Books raises awareness of Charleston Literary Festival and provides engagement opportunities through book discussions over food and drink with friends!

How it works:

  1. Sign up to be a host. Fill out the FORM BELOW to register your interest to host a Feasting on Books gathering and we’ll get in touch with you.

  2. Prepare your guest list. Host a dinner party, have friends over for cocktails, or turn your bookclub meeting into a potluck—any format works! Host as many or as few as you’d like—from 5-25.

  3. Read a 2026 Festival book together. Collectively read a book selected from the Charleston Literary Festival 2026 lineup.

  4. Meet and have fun! Discuss your chosen book in whatever format you choose. (We’ll provide discussion questions should you wish to have a little guidance.)

Feasting on Books 2026 will take place in Fall 2026.

FAQs:

  • What is the 2026 book selection? Each host may choose any book they wish from the 2026 lineup.

  • Can I host a party if I don’t live in Charleston? YES! We’ve had hosts all the way in New York, Texas, London, and Vermont.

  • Is there a fee for hosts or attendees? There is no fee for hosting or attending a Feasting on Books event. This gathering is focused solely on creating and fostering community within the Festival.

  • Does the party have to be formal? Not at all! Host in whatever format you’d like.

  • When will the full list of 2026 authors and books be released? Early September!
