Hernan Diaz Wins Pulitzer Prize

Many congratulations to Hernan Diaz (CLF 2022 speaker) for winning the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel Trust. He won the prize along with Barbara Kingsolver who also won for her book Demon Copperhead. It's the first time in the fiction category's 105-year history that two books have taken home the prize. The awards committee has declined to name a winner several times, the most recent time being in 2012. It goes to show just how strong the field was this year.

Trust will soon be adapted into a TV series starring Kate Winslet providing us with another medium in which to absorb Diaz’s captivating story. And The New Yorker recently published a piece about Trust that asked the question: can a novel capture the power of money? Read what they had to say HERE.

Congrats again to Hernan Diaz! We are so honored to have had him join us for a wonderful session at CLF 2022.
